Frembrǟvge̜s Whi̽ Ner (/fremˈbraːvge̜s/ /whi̽/ [serious; sincere; earnest] [tradition; ritual]) is a subtropical Town located in Bekhisiz̄ubema Zone, Chyûyu̽ Lu̹sû Empire, within the Warrenese Shogunate.

The name Frembrǟvge̜s Whi̽ Ner is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Frembrǟvge̜s Whi̽ Ner was founded by Mandea Tuvno, who was culturaly Wood Elven.

Overview

Frembrǟvge̜s Whi̽ Ner was founded durring the late 15th century in winter of the year 1370, by Mandea Tuvno. The establishment of Frembrǟvge̜s Whi̽ Ner was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Frembrǟvge̜s Whi̽ Ner's construction back out of the project. Mandea Tuvno pushed on reguardles, and Frembrǟvge̜s Whi̽ Ner was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Frembrǟvge̜s Whi̽ Ner was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the late 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Frembrǟvge̜s Whi̽ Ner is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brickwork used to form structures with an emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aediculae can be found everywhere such that only size of building and yard can be used to measure the general prosparity of a given building's owners due to a general wealthy feeling the style gives off.

Frembrǟvge̜s Whi̽ Ner is buildings are grouped arround an odd layout of premissive paverstone streets, which seems to be based on an overlapping squair patern such that there are small squares at the cornor of every bigger square. Sometimes buildings exist in the smaller squaires, other times they are open spaces, or occupied by temporary structures. The town posesses a mighty albit amaturly crafted stone wall. It was built using querried stone blocks and posesses all of the standard defencive features, including a few watch towers. While it would last against a siege, the wall's outdated and simplistic construction method percludes the possability of Frembrǟvge̜s Whi̽ Ner weathering a full scale bombardment durring a siege. Frembrǟvge̜s Whi̽ Ner's budget focused millitary grade defenses are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

Frembrǟvge̜s Whi̽ Ner has the unmistakable air of a town on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Frembrǟvge̜s Whi̽ Ner ’s existence was once fed by scholarly pursuits. But the income once drawn in by the works of scribes and academics has dried up and the town is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. Everywhere about the town one can see abandoned schools, libraries, and other academic structures. Locals can be overheard having academic discussions, as well as talking about scholarly subjects in general. It’s quite clear the town places a lot of value on education and being a learned individual. Even in these times.

Frembrǟvge̜s Whi̽ Ner has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Frembrǟvge̜s Whi̽ Ner's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Frembrǟvge̜s Whi̽ Ner possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Town. Frembrǟvge̜s Whi̽ Ner's grid is powered by hydrogalvanic generators.

Cultural Notes

Frembrǟvge̜s Whi̽ Ner's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used has a sleek, linear appearance with stylized, often geometric ornamentation. The primary facade of its buildings often featured a series of set backs that create a stepped outline. Low-relief decorative panels can be found at entrances, around windows, along roof edges or as string courses. It was best known for its use of smooth finish building materials such as stucco, concrete block, glazed brick or mosaic tile. Decorative details can incorporate various artistic or exotic motifs to suit the building's function or the architect's whim. Chevrons, zigzags, and other geometrical motifs are common forms of ornament.

Due to the actions of local Kami, winter is long in Frembrǟvge̜s Whi̽ Ner.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century the Flad Qunmömgwë Heath was struck by a drought when Mere Drybed grew too small to continue feeding Creek Northern, which reduced the available water supply nationwide, but was especially harsh in the area arround Frembrǟvge̜s Whi̽ Ner. As the neighboring regions had no water so spare, Frembrǟvge̜s Whi̽ Ner lost 269 people, and 343 livestock in the disaster.. The drought lasted for 6 weeks, which are remembered as the Agony Thirst.
